Course information
The course gives 6 hp, corresponding to approximately 160h of work per student.
This time includes the following activities.
- Lectures: 13 × 2h = 26h
- Laboratory assignments: 7 x 4h = 28h
- Written examination: 4h
- Student's own work: 100h

Registration
In order to receive e-mail about the course and get results entered into Ladok,
it is necessary that you are registrered for the course.
If you are taking the course but are not registered,
make sure to register asap using Studentportalen.
If you are taking the course without being a registered student at Linköping University,
contact the examiner in order to assure a working e-mail communication.
Notice:
You have have to make an additional registration for the examination,
in particular if you are an international student.
Matlab and Python
The Laboratory assignments are mainly based on Matlab, a software tool for mathematical computations.
It is necessary to have programming skills in some programming language, not necessarily Matlab or Python.
Some basic knowledge of Matlab is desirable.
If you have no previous experience with Matlab,
the examiner can provide you with some introductory self study
material in Matlab.
One Laboratory assignment is partly based on Python.
Some basic knowlegde of Python is desirable.
