Up to three Postdoctoral and three PhD Positions in the Computer Vision Laboratory

The Division of Computer Vision Laboratory (CVL) at Linköping University (one of the leading AI institutions in Sweden) is looking for 1-3 postdoctoral researchers and 1-3 PhD students focusing on one of our specialized research areas. When applying, you should describe your specific merits in one of the following areas of computer vision and include a research plan (the latter only applies to postdocs):

CVL is a vibrant research environment with five faculty members, five researchers, sixteen PhD students, and several adjunct researchers. CVL conducts research and education in machine learning for computer vision at the undergraduate, advanced, and PhD levels. CVL has been identified as outstanding Swedish research environment within AI in Vinnova’s latest report. We have ongoing research activities within WASP (Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems, and Software Program), ELLIIT (Excellence center) and LiU's profile area VDF (Visual digital futures). For further details, see https://liu.se/organisation/liu/isy/cvl.

Researchers and academic staff at Swedish universities retain the rights to their own research results, even when these are patentable. This system is known as the “teachers’ exemption” (Lärarundantaget) and differs from the system at universities in other countries.
