Biological Vision Systems 2025 (5hp)
This is the course webpage for the CVL PhD course Biological Vision Systems, given in Spring 2025. The course gives a systems perspective on biological vision, covering visual perception (object recognition, perception of colour and motion), occulomotor behaviours such as saccades (rapid changes of gaze), gaze stabilisation (using muscles in the eye and neck och the animal), and fixation behaviours (e.g. during tasks such as grasping, walking, and driving a car). We will also look at the neural organization of the visual systems of flies and mammals.
The course will be similar in structure to the course given in 2017.
